Hidekage Katana 

Koto Katana Den Bizen Osafune, Kozori Hidekage

Well forged koto shinogi zukuri katana with Kinzogan mei  Oei Yasumitsu . This katana is made circa Kyotoku (1452-1455) forged with dense Itame hada, Hamon is Gunome Midare.  Boshi is sugu with a shallow kaeri with hakikake,Nakago has 2 mekugi-ana.  Yasurime are  Kiri. The katana  bears the Kin zogan / gold mei of Yasumitsu  but  the NTHK NPO attributes this blade to Bizen Osafune Kozori Hidekage mounted in shirasaya with good quality habaki. excellent blade from a good lineage of makers

HIDEKAGE , Kytoku (1452-1455),signatures Bizen Ichi Bish Osafune Taira Hidekage€¯, Bishu Osafune Hidekage¯ , Bizen no Kuni Osafune- Hidekage¯ , according to tradition the son of Hidemasa , he also signed with the preceding character Ichi, he was active from around Kakitsu, 1441-1444) to Onin (1467-1469),hamon types  ko-gunome, ko-cho¨ji-midare, wazamono, chusaku
