Katana Attributed to Takai Echizen No Kami Nobuyoshi from Osaka with NTHK NPO Certificate
Mumei Den Osaka Takai Echizen no Kami Nobuyosh. Well made katana forged in a dense Itame hada with chu Suguha hamon. The Boshi is sugu with a Komaru Kaeri that runs back to the height of the yokote. The Nakago has 3 mekugi ana and is O-suriage made in the Kanbun era 1661-1673. The blade does have some small pitts which do not detract from this excellent well forged blade.
Blade length ~ 72.1 cm
Mounted in good quality koshirae large iron tsuba with ume / plum tree and blossom motif. Iron Higo fuchi kashira. Saya has crushed shell lacquer, copper kojiri with mon.

NOBUYOSHI Kanbun (1661-1673), Settsu Takai Echizen no Kami Minamoto Rai Nobuyoshi€, Echizen no Kami Minamoto Rai Nobuyoshi Rai Minamoto Nobuyoshi, younger brother of the 1st gen. Yamashiro Nobuyoshi, priest name Rinshin, he also carved a chrysanthemum and the preceding character of Ichi onto his tangs, his excellently hardened suguha which reminds of Inoue Shinkai.
