Hirazukuri Mumei Tanto Yoroi Doshi style thick Blade attributed to the 6th generation Tadayoshi, well forged blade in Tanto Koshirae and Shirasaya with NTHK NPO Certificate,Tang has been cleaned by previous owner. 10mm thick at Munemachi.  

TADAYOSHI 6th gen., Kansei (1789-1801), Hizen – “Hizen no Kuni Tadayoshi” , “Ōmi no Kami Tadayoshi” , “Hizen no Kuni Ōmi no Kami Tadayoshi”, real name Hashimoto Shinzaemon, he signed first with Tadahiro, second son of the 5th gen. Tadayoshi, he was born in the first year of Genbun (1736) and received the honorary title Ōmi no Kami on the 24th day of the sixth month Kansei two (1790), he died on the sixth day of the twelfth month Bunka twelve (1815) at the age of 80, we know date signatures from the eighth year of Tenmei (1788) to the eleventh year of Kansei (1799), jō-saku

Den Hizen Rokudai Ōmi no Kami Tadayoshi Attributed to the 6th generation Ōmi no Kami Tadayoshi from Hizen Province 

Nagasa 8 sun 1 bu kore ari ‒ Blade length ~ 24.5 cm ; Thickness at Munemachi 10mm

Shape:  hira - zukuri , iori - mune

Kitae ‒ Forging:    dense itame 

Hamon ‒ Hardening:  relatively narrow chū - suguha

Boshi ‒ Hardening in tip:  sugu with a ko - karu - kaeri that runs back for around 3 cm 

Nakago ‒ Tang: mekugi - ana 1, yasurime: kiri  

Made around Tenmei (1781-1789)
