Mei (銘文) ‒ Signature: Obverse: Bizen no Kuni-jū Osafune Kiyomitsu (備前国住⻑
船清光) ‒ “Osafune Kiyomitsu, resident of Bizen province”
Reverse (in ginzōgan ,silver ): Kanbun sannen sangatsu tōka ‒
Futatsu-dō setsudan ‒ Yamano Kaʼemon Nagahisa + kaō
(寛文三年三月十日・貮ッ胴截断・山野加右衛門永久「花
押」) ‒ “Yamano Kaʼemon Nagahisa cut [with this blade] on
the tenth day of the third month of Kanbun three (1633)
through two bodies + Kao”
Measurements: nagasa 2 shaku 4 sun (~ 72.7 cm)
tokuchō (特徴) ‒ Characteristics: The kitae is an itame that is mixed with masame-nagare.
The hamon is a suguha-notare that is mixed with gunome.
the bōshi is notare-komi. A bōhi is engraved on both sides
that ends in marudome.
The tang has one mekugi-ana and
katte-sagari yasurime.
