Ko-Kinko (古金工): This translates to “Old Metal Craftsmen” or “Old Smiths.” It is an umbrella classification used by Japanese art appraisers for antique, unsigned metal fittings produced before or during the Muromachi and Azuchi-Momoyama periods (roughly 14th to late 16th century).
